Online Colleges in Nevada

There are 27 postsecondary education institutions in the state, with 7 public schools and 3 non-profits. The rest are for-profit schools. Most of the public schools are located in metropolitan areas, like Las Vegas. Therefore, it is very important to have distance learning options for students who do not live near one of the more densely populated areas of the state.

The tuition for public schools is much lower than national average, coming out to $6,670 for in-state students. However, there is not much of a savings for out-of-state students, the average being around $20,500. Nevada has stepped up its online education offerings as of late, with most of the public schools having degree-granting online programs.
